Giving by us

Each year St Luke’s donates 10% of its unrestricted income to charity. The total amount is divided equally among a small number, usually between 8 and 10, of Christian charities. Recent beneficiaries have been:

Scripture Union
Bible Society
Embrace the Middle East
Compassion
Mercy Ships
Tearfund
Tools With a Mission, and
Ykids

Also we give our membership opportunities to donate cash or gifts to charity at various times. For example in Lent we raise money to support a group in Africa and a group in South America. Typically the groups will be our friends in Shyira and a school in Peru. Also each week we have a collection of grocery items that will be sent to the Southport Soup Kitchen

giving to us

If you would like to help support the work we do in Formby and elsewhere we invite you to make a donation here. You can tell us if the gift is to be used for a specific purpose and we will endeavour to honour your wishes.

If you are a UK tax payer please consider allowing us to reclaim the income tax paid on your gift. It doesn’t cost you anything but increases the value of your gift by 25%. If you pay income tax at a higher rate then declaring gift aided money on your tax return increases the higher rate tax threshold and so reduces your tax bill.
