Pastoral Care

At St Luke’s we believe that as a worshipping community  we have a responsibility to care for each other in times of need. We also believe that this can be a blessing both to the person receiving the care and the person offering that help, fostering closer relationships and drawing us together as the family of God. To this end we have a group of volunteers ( all CRB checked), the Pastoral Visiting Team, who are very happy to offer help with:

At present we are able to extend these offers to those who worship at St Luke’s or would like to begin to worship at St Luke’s. Unfortunately our team is not big enough to extend beyond that commitment. However, anyone in Formby needing transport for individuals or groups could contact Formby Community Transport/CVS.

Anybody wishing to seek help in the above areas should use our contact form and the message will be passed on to Sally who will make arrangements for the necessary support. If you would like somebody to pray with you about a particular need then please also let Sally know via the contact form and she will make appropriate arrangements.

Several of our members drive for Formby Community Transport who organise occasional  day trips as well as collecting house bound folk and taking them to the luncheon club. FCT have two minibuses for hire  and a number of volunteer drivers available.
